The Charles E. Smith Center has served as the home of the George Washington University Department of Athletics and Recreation for more than 30 years. The Smith Center has also hosted many major events and concerts throughout the years.

Parking

If you are driving, visitor parking information can be found online.

Street parking is very limited on campus. In addition, the Law School Fair will take place during rush hour when on-street parking is even more restricted.

Ride Services are recommended if you are unable to take Metro to the Law School Fair.


Directions

By Plane

If you are traveling by plane and flying directly into Ronald Reagan National Airport, you can reach the campus by taxi., Uber or Lyft. You can also reach campus by taking the Metro Blue Line (heading in the direction of Addison Road). Exit at the stop marked Foggy Bottom-GWU.

If you are flying into Dulles International Airport, you can take the Washington Flyer Shuttle Bus to downtown Washington. Tickets can be purchased at the airport. The bus will stop at the Washington Convention Center - you can then take a taxi to GW. You may also take a taxi directly from the airport.

By Train

If you are traveling by train, you will arrive at Union Station and taxi from there. You can also take the Metro Red Line (heading toward Shady Grove). When you reach the Metro Center stop, transfer to the Blue Line (heading toward Franconia-Springfield) or the Orange Line (heading towards Vienna). Exit at the stop marked Foggy Bottom-GWU.

By Metro (Subway)

If you are traveling by Metro to campus, exit at the Foggy Bottom-GWU station. As you exit the station, you will be at 23rd and I Streets NW.
